When we think about goal setting, that seems pretty easy, right? It doesn’t take too much thought to verbalize the things that we want or desire. It’s easy to say that you want to be able to afford your bills. It’s easy to desire a vacation with your family. I agree with the majority here and would say that when it comes to telling other people what we want, it’s something that can come almost effortlessly.
So why do most people put things out there as far as goals, but it takes longer for them to come to fruition for them? One word: fortitude. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, fortitude is described as “strength of mind that enables a person to encounter danger or bear pain or adversity with courage.” Let’s take a minute to unpack that thought, shall we?
