“Join my team.”
“Like my page.”
“Buy this product.”
Do any of those phrases sound familiar? As a customer, I immediately ask myself, “why?” Why do I want to join your team? How does it benefit me to like your page? Why should I buy your product? All of these questions surface when I see these posts, and they’re serious pain points for your customers on social media.
Why should someone like your page? What does a Facebook like mean to you? Do likes equal success? Think of why you like other pages. What are you looking for?
Next, try considering how joining your business might benefit whoever is reading it. Take the following example:
“I’d love to help you spend more time with your family, make some extra money, and look and feel better while you’re doing it. Send me a message if you’d like to learn more.”
What I’ve done is listed three reasons why someone might be interested in what I’ve posted, then added a “call to action” at the end, asking them to message me if they’re interested. Try this formula the next time you post!
